His Boys Can Swim and A Giveaway

I recently was introduced to a new blog that is quickly becoming one of my favorites. It is a pregnancy blog by the name of “His Boys Can Swim”.  This blog is about a young married couple who recently found out they are unexpectedly expecting their first baby. They go by the names of Tarzan and Jane. They are planning to use their blog to document their pregnancy. Recently they had an ultrasound and discovered the sex of their baby. Jane’s post detailing the day of the ultrasound is hilarious and touching. Be sure to read that post as well as all of the others that you’ve missed!

One post you want to be sure you check out is their awesome giveaway. It’s very easy to enter and you will be introduced to an abundance of baby/new moms/moms-to-be sites. Reviewing the many products they are offering during their giveaway has thrown me into a shopping frenzy that I’m not 100% sure my checking account will be able to handle!

Visit Jane & Tarzan over at His Boys Can Swim, read up and catch up on where they are in their pregnancy, and be sure to take time and visit the sponsers for their awesome giveaway.  OH .. and tell them NCBelle36 sent ya!!

Random Thoughts all Jumbled into One BIG MESS

That’s kinda where I am today. I have a bazillion things going through my mind and I’m not really sure where any of them are going. For instance:

– How long can the girls and I continue living where we are living?

– Should we be the ones to move or should he go?

– Where will we go and can we do it before Heather’s baby arrives?

– Can I honestly move while working the hours I am working?

– How much longer can I hold out working the hours that I am working?

– If I didn’t love my job so much … I would quit, packup, and leave … for sites unknown and stop when I grew tired of going.

– Southern CA would be my destination

– What else is on my list of things to do before the baby comes?

– We’re ready with all of the major requirements and needs … but are we truly ready?

– Why doesn’t anyone make cute little knitted or crocheted sweater sets for little boys? In neutral tan & white? AND Affordable?

– Why does it take FIVE weeks to get an appointment with an orthopedist when you make the appointment without a referal but you can get one within a couple of days if your PPO refers you?

– Can I take FIVE more weeks waiting to find out why I have no range of motion in my shoulder and why it hurts so much it’s keeping me awake at night?

– How many more nights can I go without sleep and work the hours I am working?

Boy do I sound pathetic!

54 more days until the END OF TAX SEASON!

95% Baby Ready

I had previously set this past Sunday as my “D” day for having everything in place for the birth of Heather’s little boy in about five weeks. As Sunday grew nearer and as I grew more weary I began to doubt the end results and felt sure I would fail in meeting my deadline.  While I still have a few things left to do such as push Heather toward packing a hospital bag, make the final decision on what she is going to bring the baby home in, and learn that her closet is for “hanging” her clothes and maintaing organization rather than tossing them ‘wherever’ … we are about 95% complete. If Lil Bit were born today we would be close enough to having everything done that I could enjoy his birth and not stress over unfinished tasks.

Yesterday was spent cleaning up some lose ends from when we moved in and getting the house new baby ready. A dear friend spent the early afternoon hanging blinds and moving satellite lines. I spent this time cleaning the rest of my house and doing laundry. Once the ‘regular’ stuff was done I started the fun stuff … washing little bitty baby clothes and blankets, putting the new baby crib together, cleaning the changing table, and second guessing if everything would fit in Heather’s room. I knew it would but until it was all in place … I had some doubt. The only thing I regret is that I didn’t paint the changing table…(yet) … I may still do that if I can find the extra time. A friend of Heather’s gave it to her and while we had decided not to bother buying one, a free one wasn’t going to be turned down. The only downside is that it is white and everything else has a walnut finish.

At any rate … I was able to get done just about everything I had planned to do yesterday. I feel short on removing the shower doors in the girls bathroom, mopping my kitchen, and cleaning out the refrigerator but that’s fine, well, and good. None of those things are required to bring Lil Bit home from the hospital when he is born!

As time grows near I’m going to have a little giveaway … stay tuned for details!

Now for your viewing pleasure … Baby Stuff …

I have a feeling something isn’t kosher …

I may be way out of line with this post and I truly do not intend to offend or hurt anyone but I need to get this off my chest because I honestly do not believe that the story being told is entirely true and factual … Hear me out then criticize if you must … but please .. do hear me out first …

Have you ever followed a blog or followed someone on twitter and just had a feeling that what you are reading is not 100% true.  Basic information that you clearly remember about the blog or person, such as where they are located, is no longer on their blog BUT it was clearly present just 24 hours ago … THEN pictures start being posted that just don’t ‘fit’ the scenario you have been following. There are other things that have me wondering also …

For instance … and I’ll give you a three of them … then you decide …

1. You know for sure the city that was posted on their site just 24 hours or so ago is in the middle of a state that is no where near the ocean or a lake for that matter. You also know this because you have been to this city and have seen first hand that it is no where near a large body of water.  Recent posts have indicated spending time at the beach with pictures included. By recent I am referring to today, as in “I drove to the beach to hang out for a little while today.”  You know from experience that driving to the beach to do what this person said they have done would not fit into the time constraints of other events they were a part of today … or claimed to be a part of.

2. A picture that was posted on their site within the last 24 hours … you know for sure this picture is not only a fake but it can be found by Googling a particular phrase that relates to the photo topic. It’s also very clear, even to my non-photographic eye that the picture is really not ‘real’.

3.  The circumstances around all of this, in my opinion would not warrant frequent blog updates and the time frame just doesn’t fit the scenario.  Last but not least … the subject of (or should I say in) the latest photos does not reflect the scenario behind the posts.

I know I’m being a big vague … but I just can’t help but believe and feel certain that the information that 100s of people are following is NOT true.  I know I may be wrong and I pray God will forgive me if I am … but I’m sure time will tell the truth …

We Saw Baby Today

Heather had a 33 week 3D/4D Sonogram today and I wanted to share with you the first real look at her precious little boy due in March!! We are so excited! Today’s measurements put her right on track for delivery around March 23, 2009.  They ‘guesstimated’ his weight at about 3lb 9oz.  He waved at us today and I know he was saying “Hey Nanee”. Then he drifted back off to sleep.  Technology today is amazing!brady
